Agia Marina takes its name from the omonymous whitewashed church that stands by the coastal road. Here you can find many small beaches, one next to the other. To find the first one coming from Athens, you have to turn right at the Copamar signpost. Copamar is a cozy beach bar/ restaurant, where you can have a drink or eat some nice Mediterranean food with your feet in the sand. Next to it, there is a humble fish taverna and the Athens Board School, a wind surf center run by a former Greek champion. Here is where Beyond Athens runs its Wind Surf and Kite Surf Camp
. If you go past a couple of fish tavernas and cafes you will encounter some rocky coves and then the thin white sand of the beach on the photo. There is also a small islet in front, which you can reach by walking on the shallow water. If you continue walking the seafront path you can reach the next beach, well protected by high rocks.
