TOUR DESCRIPTION

Athens is blessed with a terrific coastline that still preserves much of its beauty and character. This, and more precisely the area of Lagonisi, is the setting of our first Athens Yoga Retreat organized in collaboration with Michelle Kaminski and Transformational Hatha Yoga School.

This 7-night/ 8-day Athens Yoga Retreat is about finding new ways to grasp your life path and stimulate your mindfulness. There might be no better place to do it in the Attica region, a place chosen by the Ancient wise Greeks for its special energy. Even more so, Lagonisi (the location of the retreat) stands right in the middle of the special virtual triangle created by three major sacred temples of antiquity, that is the Parthenon, the Temple of Afea in Aigina and the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion. Of course you will be able to visit all such places, during your stay, as well as take part in nature-oriented and open-air sport activities, by the sea and on the hills of the area. Accommodation and breakfast will be provided in OM Guesthouse and everyday you will be served a freshly prepared veg meal. Dynamic group workshops, yoga and meditation, embracing your surroundings and your course mates and many other rewarding experiences and illuminating encounters await you during the Athens Yoga Retreat, in this magic corner of the Mediterranean.

Visit to an agritouristic organic farm, workshop (wild herbs picking, tomato sauce preparation or other) and lunch

THE YOGA TEACHER

Michelle Kaminski, MFT, 500RYT, has been practicing yoga for over 20 years and teaching yoga and meditation since 2007. She has a masters degree in Psychology from the University of California and combines her interest in psychology with the mind-body connection and the power of yoga to bring balance to mental and physical health. She studied Hatha yoga in India directly under the guidance of Swami Vidyanand, the founder of Yoga Alliance International, receiving the Grand Master level certification in Transformational Hatha yoga, Pranayama, and Meditation. Michelle also studied Ashtanga yoga, prenatal yoga, Children’s yoga, Yin Yoga, and Theraputic Yoga. Today Michelle is director of the Transformational Yoga school in Lagonissi, Greece and leads yoga teacher training courses and retreats in Greece, Italy & India. Michelle is well prepared to guide you on this yoga journey towards the integration of body, mind, and spirit.

NOTES

All adults are welcome, minimum 18 yrs old. Program and price are subject to change depending on number of participants and special arrangements. The last day’s program will depend on your departure time. It is recommended that you bring along sunglasses, hat, suncream, swimsuit and a beach towel. Also, trekking shoes for the excursions are recommended. Yoga mattress is provided.

Any level of yoga experience is accepted, since we can adapt the practice accordingly. No health certificate is needed, but we will request to sign a health waiver that notifies us of any medical conditions and whereby participants take responsibility for their own health.
