The spectacular Legrena bay, few kilometers far from the famous Cape Sounio, Attica’s Southernmost tip, displays nothing less than five superb sandy beaches. Some of them can be reached only by foot. The furthest towards the North features a fine pine green providing nice shading and it’s also nudist friendly. Some people even camp there and stay overnight in the summer (but it’s not legally allowed). The other beaches are more family-friendly, yet no amenities or facilities are provided, this is a back-to-basics place. Large sand dunes and Mediterannean scrub make up the scenery of the longest of this set of beaches, standing next to the little fishing dock. If you climb past the rocks in the South end you can even spot an emplacement dating back to WWII. In the areas you will find some fine fish eateries, among which “Marida” stands out.
