Athens is blessed with a terrific coastline that few tourists know or get to enjoy. This is a custom family tour that mixes sightseeing, eco and educational elements as well as fun moments, in the setting of the fantastic Athens Riviera.
We will comfortably pick you up at 9:30 am at your place and reach the Athenian Riviera. First stop will be at Vouliagmeni, where we will enjoy a walk on Faskomilia Hill. You will be astonished by the amazing views over the bay, the Saronic sea and islands. The kids will be entertained by witnessing the typical Mediterranean scrub and wildlife (birds and land turtles among them), and maybe pick some wild herbs, flowers and plants to bring back home and collect in an album. After that, we will enter the Vouliagmenis Lake. An amazing natural formation, surrounded by imposing cliffs and with thermal waters that maintain a pleasantly warm temperature throughout the year, it will surely positively impress the kids. It makes for a memorable swimming experience all-in-all.
But touring and swimming makes you hungry, and it will then be time to reach a local tavern by the sea. You will have the chance to taste fresh seafood and relax, while the kids can entertain themselves in the shaded playground nearby.
Next stop will be at the Arxelon Caretta Caretta Sea Turtles Rescue Center. There, the kids will familiarize with those cute animals and have the chance to admire the work of the society in hosting and curing wonderful wounded Caretta Caretta Sea Turtles and possibly participate in some of the Society’s scheduled activities. It will also be a great chance for kids to learn about biology and marine life and raise their awareness on ecological issues and the values of volunteering, and perhaps, why not, adopt one or more of such cute endangered animals.
It will then be time to drive back to Athens after such an exciting day in contact with the Mediterranean nature.
You should take with you swimwear, sunglasses, sun hat, sun cream, towel and flip flops.

I don’t normally make or take the time to write reviews, but felt the need to share just how special your holiday can be if you trust Andreas and his team to help you. We have recently visited the Athens area twice and each time we have enjoyed amazing day trips and guidance from Andreas. From Sea Turtle rescue centers, swimming in freshwater lakes, visiting organic acorn farms and dining al fresco – our holidays went from great to amazing. We consider Andreas and his son as new Greek friends – and thank him for his company and knowledge.
